IMPRINTS is a six-week music and personal development programme at Raw Material. Each week you'll work in small groups building beats, writing lyrics and recording vocals. Never made music before? Doesn't matter. Turn up as you are and you'll learn the rest.
IMPRINTS gives you space to look at yours. Over six weeks you'll work out which stories are true, which ones you want to keep, and which ones aren't doing you any good. Then you rewrite them in your own words, over your own sounds. The music is the way in. What you make ends up being about you. Take what tried to bury you and realise it was planting you all along.
How it works
Every session starts with a check-in and a short conversation about one of the ideas behind the programme: identity, mindset, purpose, responsibility, integrity, narrative, transmutation and service. Then we get hands on. You'll write, experiment, share stations, swap ideas and build music with the people around you.
The six weeks follow a simple arc. We start with who you are and what your sound is. We move into what you believe about yourself and what you stand on. Then we get to the heart of it: an old story about yourself, and the one you'd write instead. In the final weeks you shape and finish your work, and think about who it might reach.
You go at your own pace. Nobody is pushed to share anything they're not ready to. Every session ends with a moment to reflect on what came up.

We all carry stories about who we are. Some we chose. Some were handed to us by family, school, friends, or things that happened. Most of them run in the background, old ideas about ourselves we never really questioned.
The Listening
The programme ends with The Listening. It's not a showcase, and nobody is made to perform. You choose what gets played, how it's played and who's in the room. It might be a full track, a few bars, or you talking about what the process was like. Your work, your call.
