Jasper Morvaridi
Programme Manager
Jasper oversees the delivery of our programmes. This ranges from developing early stage ideas with artists, creative facilitators and partner organisations, through to ensuring our sessions run smoothly and that our community have the opportunity to realise their creative potential.
Day-to-day I manage our team of freelance facilitators, manage the scheduling and admin behind our programme of activities and support our reporting to funders. I also lead our Programme Committee (a big highlight on our termly calendar!), where our community comes together to help shape our programme of activities. My main area of focus is in developing pathways into music industries and creative careers for young people.
Jasper’s background spans over ten years in the music and creative industries across London’s arts institutions, national funders and grassroots DIY organisations including the Royal Albert Hall, Roundhouse, Youth Music, Art Fund and Brainchild Festival. Through his work he has shown a commitment to supporting young people and communities to engage in music-making and to equalise access to opportunities across the sector. Outside of Raw, Jasper is also a music producer and engineer working out of his South East London studio.
Favourite Raw Moment
“Dropping in on a Young Producers session in the studio when a small subgroup of 3 participants were making a trap music inspired nursery rhyme, and then rapping the numbers 1 to 6 in Mandarin over the top… It genuinely sounded so good, and there was so much creativity and joy in the room.”
