Support Raw Sounds

Campaign Aims

  • To raise a total of £5,000 (including match funding) to support the further development and evolution of the Raw Sounds Programme.

  • To continue to develop our offer to our community through the consultation of our termly 'Programming Committee'

  • To support 200 people from 2024 - 2025 through the programme.

  • To increase the amount of performance opportunities, partnering with local venues and festivals.

Situation

The programme operates on a referral based process, partnered with NHS Slam our members are introduced to the programme through care coordinators and support officers as part of the Borough’s commitment to social prescribing and easing the oversubscribed workload of the local services. We also invite the community to ‘self refer’ to our programmes, widening opportunities to be involved and to benefit from the programme.

Raw Sounds exists to support those who have faced social isolation, anxieties and depression, bringing people together through their common interest in music and community. Our programmes are specifically designed to promote connectivity, catharsis and creative and wellbeing development. Our programmes have proven to increase confidence, social skills and self worth whilst decreasing anxieties and depression
